What is Cabergoline?

The tablet Cabanex contains a drug called Cabergoline, a receptor that receipts agonists in the human body.

This is a white powdered soluble mixture that is easily dissolved in the ethyl alcohol and some cases slightly dissolvable in n-hexane and is completely insoluble in water.  Any Cabanex Tablet contains around .5mg of cabergoline with a list of inactive ingredients such as leucine, USP, NF, and Lactose.

Uses of Cabergoline (Cabanex):

The drug Cabergoline is used to regulate the production of this hormone. This drug works by blocking the production of this hormone from the pituitary gland of a person.

The Medicine Cabergoline is used to treat a high-level hormone in the body of a human. Having an increased level of prolactin in women can cause an increase in breast milk as well as can be a cause of a missed period. Apart from that, it also causes complications for a woman to get pregnant in the first place.

The dosage of this drug is started at a lower dose and is gradually increased in case there is a need. The side effects caused by this medicine need to be in check.

On the other hand, for men, a high level of prolactin can decrease the libido of a man while increasing the size of the chest.

How to take this Drug: Caberlin 0.5mg can be taken with or without Food and is taken twice or as per the prescription given by the doctor. The dosage of this drug can be different for different people and usually depends on how the human body responds to the drug.

How does Cabergoline work?

A: This drug belongs to a group of drugs called dopamine agonists. This drug works in the same way as Dopamine and prevents the body from producing prolactin. This drug works by blocking the receptors which then decreases the production of prolactin levels in the human body.

Dosage of Cabergoline (Cabanex):

The dosage that is recommended by the doctor for this drug is Cabanex 0.5mg or Cabanex 1mg, to begin with. This dosage can further be increased up to 1mg at least twice a week.

The increase in the dosage of this medicine should not be rapid at all and should take at least a good time of 4 weeks before hopping the dosage to a higher level. If there is no adequate result seen with a higher dosage, the patients are moved back to the lower dosage.

This can be done while keeping the patient’s prolactin level in view. There is an elaborate cardiovascular analysis performed before recommending this medicine to any patient.
